Our actions
1. ORGANISATION OF SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCES
The AMPA regularly organises or hosts high-level international scientific conferences to review the latest medical discoveries.
The AMPA thus contributes to the advancement of science and enables researchers to exchange and share their knowledge.
Whether organised in Monaco or abroad, these conferences contribute to the Principality’s international reputation in the field of Alzheimer’s disease research.
Since its creation, 16 scientific conferences have been organised by the AMPA:

2. SUPPORT FOR RESEARCH AND INNOVATIVE ACTIONS
The AMPA supports research projects and innovative field actions through its calls for thematic projects.
Since its creation, the AMPA has supported eight projects for a total amount of €535,000.
Find all the projects supported by the AMPA here. A scientific committee, chaired by Professor Alain Pesce and composed of nationally and internationally recognized experts in their fields, reviews the proposed projects. After review and recommendation by the scientific committee, the projects are submitted to a vote by the AMPA board once a year.
3. AWARENESS-RAISING INITIATIVES
In order to raise public awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and its consequences, AMPA regularly organizes original awareness-raising initiatives in Monaco with the aim of changing perceptions of this condition.
- Organization of an Alzheimer’s walk in Monaco on World Alzheimer’s Day
- Organization of conferences and debates for the general public
- Screening of films, documentaries, etc.
- Development of artistic projects (ballet, concerts, painting and photography exhibitions, etc.)
4. DISSEMINATION OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE
Since its creation, AMPA has been providing useful information and advice to anyone affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
Drawing on its expertise, the AMPA also disseminates its knowledge on the medical and societal issues related to Alzheimer’s disease to the international scientific, associative, and institutional community. The AMPA thus contributes to defending the interests of patients and their families and encourages multidisciplinary reflection on the management of the disease.
- Distribution and provision of documentary resources for the general public (information brochures, advice, website, books, etc.)
- Presentations at major national and international Alzheimer’s conferences
- Publication of scientific articles
