AMPA Monaco

On October 30, 2012, AMPA hosted the exhibition “The Color of Thought”—created by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem—in Monaco.

This unique exhibition features photographs of brain structures juxtaposed with works of modern art by artists such as Klee, Miró, Dalí, and Kandinsky.

The scientific images on display were produced using sophisticated techniques that combine electron microscopy, modeling, optics, genetics, and magnetic resonance. This technique, known as “Brainbow,” was developed by Professor Lichtman at Harvard. The vivid colors in these images appear to draw “inspiration” from modern art.

The exhibition has also been held in Paris, Lisbon, London, Cannes, Nice, Berlin, Geneva, Zurich, Brussels, Jerusalem, Madrid, Tel Aviv, Chicago, São Paulo, and elsewhere.
