Synopsis
‘Loin d’elle’ tells the poignant story of Fiona and Grant, a couple married for over forty years, who are confronted with the challenge of Alzheimer’s disease. When Fiona decides to move into a specialised care home, her condition deteriorates rapidly and she no longer recognises her husband. The film delicately explores the themes of memory, love, renunciation and dignity, offering a deeply human perspective on the disease and its impact on loved ones.
An evening of reflection and discussion on the medical, human and emotional issues related to memory disorders.
