On September 22, 2011, a prestigious classical music concert featuring the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Philippe Auguin, took place in the Salle Garnier at the Monte-Carlo Opera.
More than 300 audience members—in the presence of Her Royal Highness the Princess of Hanover—were deeply moved by a program that included the overture to Wagner’s Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, Schoenberg’s Verklärte Nacht (Transfigured Night), and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5.
The funds raised enabled AMPA to support research into Alzheimer’s disease.
